What is your favorite part of the job?
I like analyzing patterns and finding order in complex systems. Developing algorithms that can extract meaningful information from biological data is an exciting and rewarding challenge for me.
Who has inspired you?
Rosalind Franklin. Despite facing significant gender discrimination and limited resources, she produced high-quality images of DNA using X-ray crystallography, which were later used by Watson and Crick to determine the structure of DNA. Her work helped to revolutionize the field of molecular biology and laid the foundation for a rise of new disciplines, including bioinformatics.
Favorite Hobbies?
I’ve always loved to do puzzles, but last year I discovered a subscription service for it, and now I am completing a 1000-piece puzzle every week. Doing puzzles helps me to unwind and relax after a long day, and I love that my dogs are always keeping me company.
