My favorite part of work is getting to learn from groundbreaking scientists about their projects every day and help them problem solve using my knowledge. Our partners inspire me - we've collaborated with researchers, including the labs of Nobel laureates and serial entrepreneurs, whose ideas shape the future of medicine and biotechnology on a daily basis.

What is your favorite part of the job?

My favorite parts about Elegen are the people and the openness. Our team members are all highly intelligent, motivated, and very approachable, and conversations are easy even with those you don’t work with every day. The culture is very friendly and supportive, and everyone celebrates the life milestones of other team members, such as the birth of children.

Reason for this career?

I went into biotech because I am a biochem nerd at heart and I get to geek out about new technologies and techniques every day. I moved into the commercial side of biotechnology after some years as a lab scientist, because I want to understand how the business world works outside the lab.

Favorite hobbies?

I am an avid runner/biker outside of work and generally seek to spend much of my time outdoors when the weather permits, but I also greatly enjoy cooking and hosting my friends and family at my home. My favorite place to getaway is my cabin in Minnesota, where our family and friends gather almost every weekend during the summer to spend time together boating and playing card games.
