I sort of happened upon web development early on, in the early days of commercial internet, and I just ran with it. My work allows for a lot of crossover between creativity and building things. After almost 25 years there is always a new problem to solve and a new way to solve it. I enjoy working with technical folks but also enjoy solving business problems.
I was inspired at an early age by a teacher, Chris Pendergast, who sparked my interest in science and engineering. He ran a lab in our elementary school where we could freely explore biology and physics topics through projects and hands-on assignments… and clean mouse cages. He went on to be a force of nature as a fundraiser for ALS research and an innovator in adaptive cycling.
I enjoy skiing and mountain biking, as well as camping, hiking and climbing. My happy place is Mammoth Lakes in the eastern Sierra Nevada and the local canyons and mountains here in San Diego County.
